The SIG WAY BEYOND GOOD Foundation envisions a future where good nutrition and clean water are available to everyone and natural habitats are preserved for the future generation.
Together with partners, the foundation’s purpose is to identify, drive and promote activities and projects that strengthen civil society and create positive impacts for the environment. These goals are consistent with SIG’s net-positive commitment to contribute more to society and the environment than the company takes out.
The main projects of the SIG WAY BEYOND GOOD Foundation are:
Cartons for Good We are convinced that nothing ought to be wasted. The foundation’s flagship project Cartons for Good offers innovative solutions against food loss and malnutrition. In Bangladesh, where the foundation is running the project, surplus food is preserved in SIG packages for schools to offer underprivileged children regular lunches throughout the year. This means that they can come to school instead of having to work for their food.
Recycle for Good Waste pollution is one of the biggest problems facing our environment. With the Recycle for Good program, SIG and the SIG Foundation aim to bring about a change in behavior and encourage the population to hand in their recyclable waste at collection points, thus promoting the circular economy. The first Recycle for Good collection point was opened in Jakarta, in South East Asia.
We are proud to support the SAVE FOOD initiative, because we firmly believe that together with partners we achieve more.
